Is it worth becoming an RN

Nurses LPN/LVN

I have already posted similar questions but didn’t get an answer. Anyways, my question is this? Is it worth going to school for an associates degree vs getting Lpn license ? I looked on a website called Glassdoor and a lot of jobs in my area say “looking for lpn/RN”. I don’t know if this means they pay the same amount or if they are willing to pay different rates because the ads don’t usually say. I see on the glass door salary estimate that the pay range doesn’t seem to be much different from a Lpn to RN, like only a couple dollars. I also have heard people say that hospitals used to say that they were phasing out of lpns , but then they never did. I don’t really think I want to work in a super busy hospital anyways. Especially right now. Thoughts?

It was worth it to me, and the pay is substantially different from what I've seen. Whether it's worth it for you, I can't say.

I see that you've had past difficulties, and I think you need solid options before you put too much time or effort into "deciding". There might not be much of a decision to make. Apply for everything, see who will accept you, then go from there.

I applied for an LVN program and was wait listed. I also applied for an RN program, and they took me right away. So, here I am.
