Is a USA nursing degree any good in Europe? What about France?

AS or BS nursing degree?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Welcome,

Your training will need to meet their training which is 3 years. If requirements are similar to the UK, which I think is roughly standard across the EU then it is 3 years. Also I think you will have to be fluent in French. Also may have problems if they are similar to the UK as the UK has to employ own citizen first then EU before rest of world so may have problems getting work permit. But you won't know until you try.

A US BSN is accepted all over, but as mentioned above, you would be required to pass language exams as well as write a nursing exam in French. And then add into it that they essentially have a hiring freeze in place, so it is going to be extremely difficult to get a visa that will permit you to work there.

There are already several threads about working there with the provided links for registration, but they are also all in French.
