Hello All!
I am asking on behalf of my wonderful mother. :)
She has been an LVN for many years and has decided to attend Unitek College at the Fremont campus to prepare herself to take the NCLEX.
We have thought long and hard about this and have done plenty of research, and while we know that Unitek isn't the gold standard of schools, her pre-requisites are about to expire (in CA they only last 7 years) and all of the public schools in the Bay Area have massive waiting lists; so Unitek it is!
I just want to make sure that this school is approved by the California Board of Nursing. Does anyone know about this?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome! I happen to know the answer to this question...
But since your mother has been a vocational nurse (LVN) for many years, does she not know how to visit the California Board of Nursing's website to check to see if a school is on the state's approved list?
It is a process that takes five minutes at the most. It is also a process that every licensed nurse and nursing student should know how to accomplish without asking others to do the research for them.
