Is there any type of nursing....

...that doesn't require a lot of nurse client interaction? I know this sounds dumb, but I'm known to be and generally perceived as a quiet person so interaction and communication is an obstacle for me. :(

Wabash, I'm shy. Something about nursing, though, gets me to take the focus off of my feelings & focus on my patients. It's about them & meeting their needs. It gets easier, really.

Good luck!

This may not be what your comfortable with, but what about psych nursing? There are some family members (not as many as med surg, in my experience) groups are pretty easy and there is alot of listening.

Also another area could be corrections. I've been researching this one and have been reading that you limit your interactions, no personal info, no chit chat so to speak. Not alot of family interaction due to limited prison visiting times. Sounds great to me. Please keep us posted and good luck :D
