Trinitas school of nursing,

hi I am currently in Nursing 131 in trinitas. It was really hard. I think you could make it if you quit your job. Evrything is incorporated in one class. alot of slides and self-study modules. Jeese i didnt know it was going to be like this.12 hours of Lab a week. it wasnt that hard but the instructor sometimes make it hard for you for you especially the prof in the morning class. there is a terror instructor that i know. It was easy to enter the program in trinitas. No entrance exam, no interview. You just have to apply to UCC and get a 2.5 GPA. I regret the time that I go to this school. If trinitas is in your list take it off. I'm on the 2nd semester of nursing and i wasnt doing well. They give you a lot of reference to read. they dont use just one book. they use 2 books plus other articles. If you have a job i dont think this is a best school for you. If you are not passing their 1st and 2nd tests in the beginning of 131 or other class they will advise you to withdraw and tell you that nursing is not for you. I don't like the fact that they dont encourage the students to fight and pass the class. I dont think they care about their sudents. trinitas is a tough school that i know.

I am planning to transfering to Muhlemberg school of nursing. I've heard that their passing is 70 only but you know u just have to deal with the long proccess before you enter the program. they have NET, interview and references. it sounds alot but i think they dont fool their student like trinitas. I want to hear more about mulhemberg too. trinitas has 75% passing grade and they only care about their 100% Nclex passing grade. this is not a good school for everybody.

Well if you think 131 is hard( which it really is not) and you feel you need to quit your job to pass 131 then you might as well drop now. 132 is way more time consuming and 231 and 232 even more harder. The teachers in 131 are a little rude but the 132 teachers are much better. good luck with where ever you decide to go.. But any Nursing program is hard no matter what , and every school has complainers, you will not find one Nursing school where people say it is great here no complaints. There will always be someone who has a bad experience at some school.

I would say you are genius! Goodluck to u and I hope u will graduate in that school. In my class of 40. 10 withdrew, 20 are failing, 10 is passing. It's only 131 I know

Whatever you say, I am not claiming to be a "Genius" I just didn't find 131 that hard. I am sure people failed and withdrew but I can only speak for my self and my situation. I am just saying I have not found it hard "YET". I am sure the program will be more intense next semester in 231. A lot of people do complain about the school but I realize that there are complaints no matter what school you go to. I have cousins in Nursing programs all over and they all complain about their schools and say don't come here, and I am talking about more than one cousin in different schools from from New York to Canada. They have all since graduated from these same schools , but discourage others from attending. SO what does that tell me, all Nursing schools come with some BS, hopefully no school is EASY because if it is I don't want a NURSE that graduates from that school.

Trinitas is not for everyone. so like I said earlier Good luck to you. Once I am done here I would like to go to NYU to do the BSN (In NYU you need 80% to make it to the next Nursing class, guess I won't be seeing you here either LOL)

Hopefully no matter what the passing rate is I hope all Nursing students are striving for the highest GPA possible, Hospitals are looking at your GPA now a days. You will need your transcript for some of them on the day of the Interview.

To be honest I don't think I would want a Nurse who is satisfied with being almost a D student because a C is not far from a D. Knowing 70% is not knowing MUCH especially when it comes to someones' LIFE!!!!!

You are right, Trinitas doesn't care about their students. I'm in nure 232. Made it to 232 without dropping or failing, but I'll tell you this, It's been hard,I had a very hard time on nure 131, why...I don't know, But yet I passed 132 and 231 with a B, so don't feel bad. As mrs genius said, no nursing program is easy, but we need to understand that every one is different, and if you feel that you can't handle it, you know what to do. She has no right to put you down, you might be capable of making it to NYU or where ever you want, you just have to trust in yourself and give the best of you. Trinitas is hard and I've met a lot of really good students, that would be wonderful nurses, but have failed. Some people are smart, they're just not good test takers. Let Mrs genius laugh and try to put people down, I would love to meet her at NYU, I actually work there as a paramedic....

Hi guys I just got accepted to UCC and I am so nervous and kinda scared about starting. I really really want to to be a nurse. My question is I am taking 130 soon and I would like to know if there is any books or anything I can read to help me out before class starts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get the potter and perry fundamentals required text and start to read that. This will be your easiest semester so don't stress. Good Luck!

123NRSE2b456, there is no need to get snippy.,After reading the thread I found some of your comments to be smug and unwarranted. The universe has a way of humbling people, I would advise you to brush up on humility and understand that for some balancing school, life, and work is not an easy task. Good luck in all your endeavors.

Well it has been quite a journey but I did it.:yeah: I just got my final grade today.

I made it through the TRINITAS SCHOOL OF NURSING PROGRAM, without having to repeat one class, or dropping a class. I am not going to say it was easy it wasn't (balancing family and school with two boys and my hubby to worry about).

But I did it and I am grateful to GOD!! I am in tears right now. I am so humbled by this journey.;) :nurse:

hey 123NRSE2b456, i am very happy that you made it, Im currently going to trinitas and will be in 231 in spring semester, didnt repeat any class and didnt find the school too difficult yet but had a question, how did you do in 231 and 232, im trying to get the answer but students are just not giving me the correct one, like how hard is 231 compare to 132 and what strategies did you use to study, would be great if you can answer them for me, thanx :)
