I am starting to seriously think about travel nursing, but I have SO many questions. I'm sure many of them have been asked over and over, so I am going to try to read through this forum, but my main two questions are these:
How does it work as far as income taxes, housing allowance and heath insurance?
What if I have to see a doctor on a regular basis (every 2-3 months) to manage a chronic condition? Is travel nursing possible for me?
Thanks for any info/advice! I think traveling sounds like a great thing to experience, but also a big leap to make.

Go to PanTravelers or TravelTax for tons of information about traveler taxation. You need to learn about tax homes for making your agency supplied housing or stipend tax free. They both have tens of thousands of words on this topic, way too many for a forum reply to an open ended question.
Google ObamaCare for questions about open enrollment. You can also COBRA your current insurance, and most travel companies offer their own health insurance.
If your chronic health problems cause you to miss work, you should stay in a staff job. You not only won't be able to afford working as a traveler, you won't be able to keep your job if you miss work.
