I have seen a lot of recent posts about the different nursing courses that some are required to take for their nursing program.
My program literally has 4 nursing classes, 8 credits each. A 3 credit pharmacology class, and 2 one credit pharmacology classes. But the nursing classes are just Nursing I, Nursing II, Nursing III, and Nursing IV with clinicals every semester.
It seems like this is not the common layout for a nursing program. Just curious, what classes does your program include?
OP, mine was similar to yours, only we did quarters. Essentially we had Nurs 111, 121, 131, 211, 221, 231 and then the concurrent clinicals. Except for first quarter where theory was 7 credits and clinical 4 credits and last quarter of theory 5 credits, clinical 8 credits, theory and clinical were both 5 credits. In addition we had pharmacology each quarter until fall quarter 2nd year and then we started leadership classes winter quarter and we had a 1 credit p/np nursing skills class. We essentially followed a progressive head to toe systems for theory, normal OB was first year, psych was beginning of first year and high risk OB was end of second year. I just graduated in June. It did seem an odd way to break everything up after looking at posts here on AN but it really helped to understand the next system the way they built it.

We have NP 1, 2, 3 and 4. They run about 10 credits each semester. 2 pre req's before you get started are pharm and assessment. You can take pharm concurrently with np1.
