Is my SAT scores to low to get me into college level algebra?

Published

I have a 490 on my math SAT and i wanted to no if thats enough to get me to take college level algebra or is that to low that i have to take some pre algebra prep course. I couldnt call the school to ask because they close on friday-sunday, but do you think my math SAT score will stop me from going to the class i want?

the school im going to is State of florida college it use to be called Manatee Community college.

Thanks for the help

p.s God bless all the nurses out their, I think what you guys are doing is amazing! :D

While 490 is below average I don't see why it should be a problem especially at a CC. At the local CC around me they require you take a CC entrance test to place you rather than using the SAT.

oh i thought 440 was like average

Maybe it is I am going off of the people I knew who took the test.

any1 else have any idea?

According to College Board

2008 College-Bound Seniors' Average Scores
