Is it Possible to Get Hired in Chicago with Just an Associates Degree?

Published

Hi everyone I just graduated from nursing school in May with my assoicates degree and recently moved to chicago. I've heard some people say that it's impossible to get a job in chicago with only an associates degree and others say that I will find a job no problem. I'd idealy like to work in a teaching hospital but from what i've heard most aren't hiring rn's. Is that true? Also will it make a difference since I am enrolled in a BSN Completion Program. Just looking to hear what hospitals are hiring RNs if any and any additional advice practicing nurses can give me to get a job. Please help!

You can do it, but it will be a challenge. You'll probably have the best luck with the smaller, independent hospitals, and of course there's LTC

Thank you very much for the advice. I appreciate it!
