When a nurse manager has been found liable in a civil suit for retaliation, wrongful termination, defamation or discrimination, are they subject to licensure board action? Do you know of a BON taking such action?
If a nurse manager is found liable in a civil suit for retaliation, wrongful termination, defamation or discrimination, someone needs to report them to the Board of Nursing. It is unlikely that the court will report them. The Board cannot act unless they know about the situation. Whether they will act will depend on the facts in the case and the investigation.
