Is moving to North Port, FL a good idea when I graduate?

hi everyone,

i am currently a nursing student in albuquerque nm. i have 8 months of school left in my rn program and would like to know how job prospects look around north port fl. i have been looking at hospitals and found a couple that say right on their job descriptions "new grads welcome to apply." if any south florida nurses are reading this i would love to know what you think of the area work wise and are jobs to come by. i'd also love to hear of suggestions of places to apply. on my internet searches i keep pulling up the same hospitals and clinics. do any of the area hospitals have new grad nursing residency programs? in nm you have long stretches of nothing between towns so i don't mind commuting to a farther city but i would like to keep it within an hour. i am currently working in a hospital for quality management and have already got tentative offers on some of the floors but i'm ready for a change. if florida's nursing job market is not looking good then i'll stay here for a few years and go out there with some experience. can't pay back student loans without a job. any posts would be appreciated.

Stay where you are. The job market here in FL is not good for new or experienced nurses.
