Hi guys. I'm just wondering, is a MCAT score required to study for your MSN? Specifically, to be a NP? Or does it just depend on the school? I live in Oklahoma, and the only school I can see that offers such a degree is OU's college of medicine, but apparently to even apply you have to have a MCAT score of at least 7. Is it like that all over?

No, MCAT, is not a requirement for entry to NP programs. GRE is becoming less popular as an entry requirement to NP programs and many schools have dropped it as a requirement.
Not sure why OU School of Medicine will be offering an NP program. Nurse Practitioner programs are typically offered in schools and colleges of nursing. Is it possible that you meant PA program? There are some PA programs housed within medical schools and some do accept MCAT scores in place of GRE.

It's the OU School of Nursing. GRE is required for some programs.
MCAT is only for medical school. OU does offer a PA.
Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize there was an OU School of Nursing. I guess that's what I was reading. Thanks guys.

I am in the pacific northwest and most schools require GRE, however if you have a 3.5 GPA or higher, you do not need to take it. I am VERY happy about that :)
