Is your LPN Salary Adequate

What is the pay scale for an LPN in the state of Indiana, does anyone know?

I moved this post to the Indiana Nurses forum with the goal of accruing more responses. After all, it is a question that can be best answered by local people. ;)

My husband makes $14/hr at a LTC facility.

One HH job he applied for paid $12/hr.

We live in the southern part of the state. I think pay is quite a bit higher up north.

For our area, it's not a bad salary. However, he made quite a bit more as a cop.

I work as a LPN for a staffing agency and make $22/hr befor weekend and shift diff. But they do not offer benefits, and you are never gauranteed hrs. I worked at a LTC facility for several years making $15.50/hr base rate, but worked 12 hr shifts and you made time and a half for anything over 8 hrs in a shift. I also worked a LTC facility (weekend-option) for a summer making $21/hr. I worked 2 12/hr shifts Sat/Sun, then one 8 hr shift through the week. So I have found good paying jobs, but none of them offered benefits or descent ones. Hope this helps. I live in east central Indiana.
