I want to become a RN BSN so I can be an officer in the military. All I have found so far have been online programs. I am a LPN. Thanks

Hi,

It is my understanding that unless you do LPN to ADN you don't really get credit for your LPN courses. I'm so gun shy about the online courses, it seems like I keep hearing about some of them not being accepted in all states etc. I don't want to take that chance. On the flip side however I have heard that some colleges will let you go from ADN to Masters degree where you basically do your bachelors in the meantime but are in a masters program. Good luck and if you find any good programs please let us know. Jules

Hello. My name is Dani and I am an LPN going for my BSN at Mountain State University in Martinsburg, WV. They have a great graduation/board rate as far as I have heard. The program is one night a week for your prerequisites and possibly 2 nights during the nursing courses. I have been in for a year and I do not feel that the program is all that bad. I have a 4 year old and have been doing very well in the classes. I have been an LPN for 18 years. I hope this helps. The web site is www.online.mountainstate.edu or call 1-866-for MSU1. Hope this helps. Dani

Thanks Dani,

What location do you go to for classes and clinicals?

Here is the link to the actual program info. It sounds great but probably too far away for me.

I go to the Martinsburg, WV location. I am not sure were you live but it is about 45 minutes from Frederick during traffic via 340. I am not sure were we are going to go for clinicals yet because I am not in the nursing courses yet. I am glad to help, or at least give you another option.

Dani
