Is there a high demand for NICU agency nurses??

Published

i'm wanting to try agency nursing after i get a few years experience to make the extra money. i know a drawback of agency nurses is that there's no gurantee that you will always have work. i also know that it's hard to find nicu positions period because people that work in that area generally stay for a loong time! so i'm wondering if any of you do nicu/scn agency and ever have a problem getting jobs lined up. thanks in advance!!

iit all depends where you live. for the most part i can work as much hrs as i want to, but i had to sign up with an agency an hr away from home. i work in the md/dc area but i took a contract(13wks) because things were slowing down.
