I live in San Francisco and since the RN programs at the junior colleges and state college is severely impacted, the only other option would be to look at a vocational nursing school, such as Gurnick Academy.
Gurnick is about $35k and it is a 1 year program. I am seriously thinking of jumping on board with Gurnick. I dont think i can wait another 2-3 years to try to get into the nursing program at the college.
Can any of you share your positve or negative experiences? Id love to hear about them. thanks

I live in the Bay Area and have never even heard of it, so that's probably not a good sign. What kind of degree would you end up with?

Looking at their website reveals: they hold the bare-bones LVN approval to conduct the program by the state. No regional accreditation, no nursing accreditation. (Both HUGE red flags.)
NCLEX pass rates are FAR below the national average. Cost is astronomical.
