Is GPA that critical for APN programs?

Hey all, I'm about to graduate from nursing school and I've made a decision to pursue a NP route through a nearby college.

My CUM GPA is exactly 3.3.

I have (2) C's in nursing school, and the rest are B's and A's.

In my opinion, a 3.3 isn't horrendous, but I'm not sure what graduate schools will think.

Should I be worried? What can I do if this is a problem?

Thanks for your guys' input.

Have you looked at what the school you want to attend requires? Schools usually have a

min. requirement for example min GPA requirement is a 3.0. It depends on the school and the program whether GPA is a major factor.

Nah...I had a horrible undergrad, screwed around in my younger years. In my case, the GRE pulled me out of transcript hell. I prepped and prepped, luckily I guess, I must have a flare for creative BS writing and that also played a role (guessing).

You might try for a certification, get a year behind you, that would also help you decide which area you might like. I knew nothing coming out of nursing school about what/where I wanted to go. There are so many choices!

Take Kenyo's advice, go talk to the school. You might find better choices await you elsewhere...
