Hello to All,
I recently took the TEAS, and I am having kind of a hard time figuring out if my score is competitive or not. my lowest score was in Science at 83%. Reading was 85%. Math and Language usage were both over 90%. Total composite was an 88.7%. I'm reading that this is a good score, but is it? Nursing is super competitive these days, and there is always somebody out there that is potentially better...
I also took the HESI. My lowest score was Reading Comprehension at 90%. The highest score was Math at a 98%. Composite was a 93.4%.
What's the average at the quality BSN programs? Are these scores good enough, or should I consider retaking one or both of these exams?
What are your thoughts?
Your help is appreciated.
Kindest Regards,
MSane

Hello ?
When it comes to these scores they are good.. VERY FREAKIN GOOD ? But to see where you stand I would see your advisor and see if there is anything else you can do. There is a BSN program where I live and I believe the minimum score for acceptance was like a 70 and the average I believe for the students was like an 83. Also note I believe it depends on the pre-req grades too. I'm just a pre-nursing student so I'd just go to the advisor and just check

What TheNursingdoll said, usually the minimum rests around a 70 for most schools, however, I've seen some programs accept way lower scores! I scrambled and was only able to study for the TEAS a week or two in advance so I didn't get much prep and scored a 72 and was still accepted into a program. So, your scores are GREAT! If you're not happy with them you can always retake the test but ultimately, if you have good grades to match that score I think you'll be competitive when it comes to applications.
