Is it good 2 jump from book to book??

Published

hello everyone I recently finished reading Saunders 5th edition and I use Exam Cram for reference I'm wondering is it good to jump from book to book ?......or should I go read another new book or should I just stick with my Saunders and reread it and use Exam Cram as reference........

I frequently wonder the same thing. I jump from doing Kaplan questions, to ATI questions, to reading Saunder's and doing their questions, and sometimes use Mosby's....argh too many options and I dont know which are best!!

I used Saunders for content, PDA, Kaplan (online), exam cram Q&A...only did a couple chapters & I used lippincot alternate style Q&A book which I highly recommend.

Specializes in Pediatrics, Emergency, Trauma.

When I studied for the NCLEX, I focused on each source for 1-2 weeks, whether for content or questions. I also reviewed questions and rationales of ALL practice questions. I did not jump around. Some questions are majority on content, while some are more inclined to be more on prioritization, delegation, and safety.

Saunders NCLEX review cards have each component of the NCLEX: questions for safe, effective care; health promotion; physiologic integrity, psychosocial integrity.

The cards came close to the NCSBN review to me as far as similar to the NCLEX. Hope this helps!!

I am still studying. But I have read that a good study plan helps. So right now I am weak on content so I am reviewing with Feuer. But otherwise, I would concentrate on weak areas, and then problem solving ability.

Thanks everyone :-)
