Hi Everyone!
I really want to hear some of your advice. I am currently enrolled in a nutrition and developmental psych course at a semester school and it's about to begin in 3 weeks (so that means I have paid for my tuition and getting a refund would be a hassle). But, the ADN program at De Anza doesn't allow the nutrition pre-req to be taken anywhere else but their school. The ADN program at De Anza also requires the applicant to take a pre-req course called "Nursing Opportunities" (which is a course about the career, etc.) and take a test that is exclusive for their program (it's not the TEAS). I don't really mind taking the test, but what I do mind is that De Anza is so impacted that getting into any class would be difficult and I would like to limit the number of transcripts I would eventually have to send to each school just so I can save some money. Also, I have already earned my B.S. degree in Human Bio so going the ADN route isn't exactly what I would want; I'm only applying to the ADN programs as backups. The waitlist for ADN program at De Anza is about 2-3 years long and I just don't know if it is worth to even go through all this trouble of getting my pre-reqs cleared before I can enroll in the nutrition class at De Anza and not even knowing if I'd be able to get into the class; I don't want to have to drop my classes at my other school just so I can be on the waitlist at De Anza. What do you guys think? Sorry for so much info and thanks for your advice! Much appreciated!
