is it better to be into nursing or x ray technician?

i am sure some of you nurses who work at hospitals have an idea what is better and if there are any xray tech jobs even available?

Why would you choose ultrasound?

Sonographers have comparable, if not higher pay than nurses and excellent job prospects. Like nursing, you can specialize..neuro, abdomen, OB, cardiac..the latter (echocardiographers) often get $40+/hr. As far as I can see sonographers have more autonomy, deal with less poop, have a one on one patient load, and better hours relative to nursing. I really think this field is the best kept secret in healthcare.
