Hi! Guys, Is anyone here using a Mary Ann Hogan Book 2nd ed for Nclex Rn?
I will be planning to sit for the test on August may be in the end of the month, can you share your experience how you study and use this Book.
I am using this book since April I start to read the content as well the PQ and i read also my incorrect answer and the rationales, until now i am stuck in the PQ self study so i dont know if i am doing it right, Because theres is so much PQ like about 5,000 so if dont Pass i did not stop doing the self test quiz.
And also i see my scores were about sometimes too low and sometimes too high, and i cant maintain the required passing grades which is 80%, it seems that i am very slow learning and adapting!
Or maybe i just need more Patience and be Faithful and committed to my studying but i am, I reaalllyy need to Pass my Exam Badly,Financially and Mentally so exhausted..
so Any Thoughts, comments and experince are welcome to share,Thanks and Goodluck

This book is better than Saunders and has a free 1 year online ebook version.
use the Chapter Quiz for practice questions including the 200+ Comprehensive practice questions at the back pages.

Soul~Thanks for the reply .and for the info "oh ok" I have a good book for my core content, yes your right I have one year online for free access and my concern was it takes for me to finish one topic it took me 2 weeks or more plus PQ and read the rationales.. So I don't know if I will cover it and finish 'til August, I did Focus since April and by June I need to attend a Class Review in Hurst. Can you tell me how many Topics did you cover each day and as well the PQ.? Thanks

Hurst is better and concise for content review. I got lazy reading the Chapters.

its has a straightforward nclex bullet tips in each chapter. plus a very concise than the detailed Saunders book. Chapter Quiz and comprehensive questions are slightly harder and informative than Saunders. overall its a subjective recommendation.

I used Pearson. I think I like it very much. What I did was read the highlight fast and answer the questions to the end of the chapter. If I got it wrong then I went back to read it slowly and make sure I understand it. However, I also took Kaplan and Hurst. I learned the concepts to answer the questions from Kaplan and content from Hurst. I used both for reinforcement and repetition into my long term memory.
