Is anyone taking NCLEX next week?

Published

Hello I am pretty new to the website and was wondering if anyone is taking there test next week. I take mine on the 15th and I am at the freaking out point. I just want to get the pain overwith and be done and of course pass! Any advice for these last few days of studying. Do I mainly concentrate on questions??? HELP!

Me, too! My daughter and I went to a water park today. I am sooo tired of studying and doing questions, I really just want this to be over. Part of me says if i don't know it by now, it's too late. The other, more reasonable, side of me says keep at it, it's only a few more days. But I've been known to clean the while house before every test just to avoid studying. :rotfl:

your welcome to come and clean my house, it has been very neglected while I have been studying....but I am really loosing my focus. I am just trying to do as many questions each day as I can. I bought the online CAT from Mosby and did really well 82% the first time then 99% and 94% but I am starting to see the same questions so that doesn't help very much. do you know how well the online test compares to how you will do on NCLEX?? I wonder if anyone who has already taken it think it compares??

I am taking it on the 15th at 0800. I am still doing questions, but also driving myself crazy thinking if I should skim through my Kaplan coursebook, or just concentrate solely on questions. When I get anxious, I tend to get caught up in what to do, rather than doing. What are your thoughts? Keep going with the questions, or skim the book?

I talked to my instructor the other day and she told me to work on questions, concentrate on labs, and hard content. She said the more questions you do the more confident you will feel. She is also a Kaplan instructor. I didn't take the class but I did buy the book and find some of the material very helpful. We both take the test on the same day so good luck to you. WE ARE BOTH GOING TO PASS!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much. That information is very helpful. I am getting nervous, but I have to keep telling myself that I am going to pass. Today I did Endocrine questions, & I think I FINALLY have Cushing's, Hypothyroidism, Pheochromocytoma, Hypoparathyroidism, etc. understood for the most part. I will reinforce them tonight at work. I have been taking notes on them as I do questions. For some reason, they REALLY stump me! Keep studying & good luck to you. WE WILL BOTH PASS!!!

Yes Happy thoughts for the 15th ( Our RN day) let me know how you do, I am really going to try to keep my mind off of it this weekend eventhough I will be studying, I need to think good thoughts. A bunch of my classmates have taken the test this week and have all passed with 75 questions. Another friend looked up on the BON regarding the passing rate and found out that it was 87% for first time test takers, gosh I am counting on those odds. WE ARE GOING TO PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

have a good study weekend
