Is anyone out there a Emory nursing student?

Nursing Students General Students

Published

I am looking to talk to someone about the nursing application process. I am just starting to gather all of my nfo to apply for next fall. Does anyone have any tips for me. Also what is it like to be a nursing student at Emory? Thanks

What was your GPA for the prereq classes and overall when you were accepted at Emory? I am doing well but I have received a couple of B's. Do you have to have all A's or not? Thanks for your help.

Choanurse,

FYI...at orientation one of the speakers gave the demographics for the new junior class at Emory SON. The average GPA is 3.43 for this class. Student ages range from 20 to 49. 62 students are traditional students, 27 are second degree students, and 20 students are Segue students. Orientation was great and the faculty seem really wonderful. They divided the class into groups of ten and assigned each group to a faculty mentor. The mentor will meet with us regularly throughout our entire program at Emory, both years. My mentor rocks. I really hope that you get into the program.

Keep me posted!

How is the program now that you have actually started? Are the days long? Give me an example of your day, is it 8-5? I am in the fianl stages of the application. Just one more rec and finish the essay and away I go. I hope I am accepted, my gpa is 3.6 and after this semester it will hopefully be 3.8. Let me know how it is going for you and would you still reccomend this program?

Hi, I am currently applying to different nursing schools and Emory is one of them. I don't know too much about Emory and was wondering if someone could tell me some of the benefits of going there. I'm working on the application as we speak and one of the topics in the essay is certain expectations and perceptions. Emory wasn't my first choice because of how expensive it is (which is why I don't know too much about it), I'm applying just to try! Any help would be appreciated! :)
