Is anyone applying or have attended Crouse Hospital college of nursing?

Published

I'm applying for the spring'15 and the application deadline is September 1. When did you have to take the TEAS? How was it? and when did you get an acceptance letter?

Is it hard to get accepted? Did you have previous healthcare experience? What were your prerequisite grades?

How is the overall program? ANY advice?

Wait, so the applications weren't the last part of the application process?

I would love it if someone who has already gone through this might be able to shed some light on the process they went through. Haha. That'd definitely help with our blind speculation.

hey there,

I got a letter today asking for an interview....do you think they do that for all spring applicants or could that be a good sign?

hey nystudent,

did you go in for an interview? do you have any more info on where we stand...lol im so anxious i just want this process to be over.

hey tinynurse2be,

i know exactly what you mean..im searching websites like crazy hoping someone else posted something that can shed some light on the outcome haha

nurseynrs,

Yes I have an interview. I believe the interviews are going on until the 30th of the month and after that we will be notified of the decisions. So I am guessing we won't hear anything until early to mid October. Did you have your interview? How did it go? Yes the wait is SO hard!!!

yes i had my interview and it went well I think..nothing too spectacular..basic questions..i wish the interview gave me more of a gauge on my chances of acceptance..

My interview went well! It felt like I had it in the bag, but you never know... I agree with NYStudent18, I think they're finishing off interviews and then they'll send out decisions around the 1st of Oct. So I assume we'll get acceptances/waitlist/denials around Oct. 5-10? That's kind of how it seems when I look at other students posts and their timelines.

It'd be nice to know NOW though! I finished my app around mid-May, so I feel like I've literally been waiting forever. Lol.

I was told if you have an interview, there was a very good chance you were accepted. I'm not sure how true this is. Has anyone else heard this?

I hope that you are right,..did you have your interview yet, how did it go..I will kkeep you guys updated if I receive anything...good luck to us all, just a couple more days.

My interview is actually tomorrow. Im pretty nervous! If anyone knows anything! Let me know as well! Good luck everyone!!

I heard the thing about the interview too, but I haven't seen or heard from anyone who DIDN'T get an interview. Either the application pool was so small that the majority of qualified applicants were invited to an interview, or just no one on allnurses has mentioned not receiving an interview invite?

A girl in one of my classes at OCC right now said her friend goes there and mentioned that if you got an interview you're pretty much accepted unless you really mess it up. Lol.

I had a girl that sat next to me tell me she was wait listed but I don't know too many people that applied. I know for the spring semester, they usually take about 90 applicants. During my TEAS exam, there were about 40 people and I know the other days were sold out. I'm unsure, just praying we all get in!!
