I'm applying for the spring'15 and the application deadline is September 1. When did you have to take the TEAS? How was it? and when did you get an acceptance letter?
Is it hard to get accepted? Did you have previous healthcare experience? What were your prerequisite grades?
How is the overall program? ANY advice?
nurseynrs,
Yes I have an interview. I believe the interviews are going on until the 30th of the month and after that we will be notified of the decisions. So I am guessing we won't hear anything until early to mid October. Did you have your interview? How did it go? Yes the wait is SO hard!!!
My interview went well! It felt like I had it in the bag, but you never know... I agree with NYStudent18, I think they're finishing off interviews and then they'll send out decisions around the 1st of Oct. So I assume we'll get acceptances/waitlist/denials around Oct. 5-10? That's kind of how it seems when I look at other students posts and their timelines.
It'd be nice to know NOW though! I finished my app around mid-May, so I feel like I've literally been waiting forever. Lol.
I heard the thing about the interview too, but I haven't seen or heard from anyone who DIDN'T get an interview. Either the application pool was so small that the majority of qualified applicants were invited to an interview, or just no one on allnurses has mentioned not receiving an interview invite?
A girl in one of my classes at OCC right now said her friend goes there and mentioned that if you got an interview you're pretty much accepted unless you really mess it up. Lol.
I had a girl that sat next to me tell me she was wait listed but I don't know too many people that applied. I know for the spring semester, they usually take about 90 applicants. During my TEAS exam, there were about 40 people and I know the other days were sold out. I'm unsure, just praying we all get in!!

Wait, so the applications weren't the last part of the application process?
I would love it if someone who has already gone through this might be able to shed some light on the process they went through. Haha. That'd definitely help with our blind speculation.
