In nursing, if you have an ADN, an ADN is what will be considered mostly your highest education for NURSING advancement. Having a BA (while commendable) is often not so helpful in advancing in nursing at all. The BSN, MSN and so on is the preferred progression for education in nursing, if you want to advance in nursing, beyond bedside care.

Is it right? I think not, but this is how it is.
Have you considered an accelerated BSN or MSN?
