I'm thinking of being a CNA while I'm getting my prereqs done for nursing school. Is it difficult to get a job as a CNA in Seattle?

I'm planning on becoming an RN in Washington--if I move to another state, is a WA license generally accepted? What is reciprocity like among states? I know for being a teacher, for example, CA won't accept any other states' credentials without taking several additional classes in CA. Is it very difficult to transfer an RN license, or do you generally just need to have a valid license in one state and have passed the NCLEX by the minimum passing score of the new state? Thanks!

Hi, I'm thinking of going to nursing school and can't decide whether to get an ADN (much less expensive!) or BSN (apparently would better prepare me for management positions and more advanced nursing). Other people have written that having a BSN is better, especially for management, because it helps develop your critical thinking skills more, shows you have a more well-rounded education, etc. But can my BA prove those things, while my ADN (assuming I pass the test!) shows I am a competent nurse? I don't mean to offend anyone by implying that any kind of education is inherently better. I know it ultimately depends on the individual program, personality, experience, etc. But I am just trying to make up my mind about which program to enter, and wondering if my BA would at least put me in better standing than just having an ADN, if not in equal standing with having a BSN. Thanks!
