Is this ACLS tool good for a newbie?

Published

I am currently a nursing student, and am starting a new job as a nurse tech in the ICU soon. I am committed to learning as much as I can as well as I can. I hope to be an asset to the department some day, and I want my co-workers to see that I strive for improvement. I have been reading everything I can about critical care on AllNurses for months to help me prepare mentally as much as possible.

I have been reviewing BLS for healthcare providers, and also pharm drugs that are used in the ICU. I came across this site today, and I'm wondering if it's worth the $16.95 membership fee for 3 months.

I don't want to spend money on something that is worthless, so if you have any input I would appreciate it.

I have purchased the pocket ICU Book that was mentioned on this site, and it will be arriving next week from Amazon.

Thanks so much!

No, it would be a waste of money. That is designed for nurses that want to get their ACLS cert and need to practice the megacode. You can google "acls decision tree" and get the same thing for free or to to youtube and type in "ACLS megacode"
