IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls

Published

Hi, I recently applied to IRSC RN program and I was hoping to find some other people that applied, or that have applied before. I'm worried my scores are not high enough to get in and I'm applying for the LPN program tomorrow morning as a back up, I digress. The reason for me making this account is to see if anyone would be willing to talk about their applications of previous years or even this one and maybe share your NLN score.

Thanks in advance for the reply.

My Scores -

A&P Lec - B

A&P Lab - A

Micro Lec - A

Micro Lab - C (Sore subject it was a summer class with 6 weeks in total, and we changed teachers 4 times....)

So for the overall score from my classes is 27 out of 32

My NLN score 128 so my total score is 155 out of 232

Just took the NLN-PN scored a 133. So now only time will tell.

Hey I found this searching for irsc applicants. Did you ever get in?? @Spitefire101?

Yes I did. Do you have any questions that I might be able to answer?

I was accepted to both, I obviously took the rn route.

Thank you for responding! & congrats!!

I'm applying for the 2nd time this upcoming semester but will be retaking my NLN (I took it 2 years ago & got a 109 so my goal is around 130 hopefully this time!) I was excited when I seen your grades cause mine are almost identical so it made me hopeful!

A&P lecture B

A& P lab A

Micro lecture C

Micro lab B

The only thing I can fix or do better on to better my chances of getting in are that NLN test & I'm studying for it!

Yeah I would say shooting for a 130ish on the non is a good goal. From my understanding the app pool is going to be that strong for Jan because they doubled the class size for this last semester and the one that starts in Aug so a big chunk of the compatition is gone.

When do you plan on taking the nln?

Deadline to apply is 1st week of Sept so my plan is to take it in Aug. The info session says to give yourself enough notice cause if you want to re-take it (has to be exactly 6 months in between) for the next semester deadline is March for that one. Yea I heard that about the applicant pool!

Do you love it so far?? :)
