IRSC ADN Applying for fall 2013

Hi.Anyone out there applying for fall 2013? There are changes this semester and was wondering if anyone knows what kind of score we may need on the NLN to have a chance at a spot. The application packets aren't available yet and I'm getting anxious! Anyone know when the will put them out?

that sounds absolutely terrifying. Can you tell me about the clinical sites ?

@jonnyvirgo ... LMAO ... What exactly did I say to terrify you? HaHaHa - Sorry. Well, we started out in a nursing home. You start out doing CNA work. That may terrify some people.... :-). You will learn to get very comfortable with other peoples bodies and bodily functions... nuff said. No worries ... it goes fast ... only there for a couple weeks. Then you move on to a hospital setting. Cant tell you much about that though - I start the hospital next week. But that is where you begin functioning as a nurse. Looking foward to it - although I am a bit anxious about the new setting and increased responsibilities...

Took my NLN on Monday and got a 142.... hope it's good enough! @Explorerone

"Accepted & Alternate Students will be required to attend a

mandatory orientation on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m."

Took my nln yesterday, I only got a 133 :(. My total for points is 154. Im praying thats enough to get in. Good luck everyone.

Good Luck you guys! FYI, check your irsc e-mail. We were told the letters would come traditional postal service ... then got suprised with e-mail notifications a couple of weeks early.

i missed the last information session, because i accidentally marked down the 4th thursday instead of 3rd :/

ive got everything else i needed done, i even turned in my paramedic license. i know its mandatory, has anyone been rejected for missing it ? or does anyone know whether i can attend the next session even though its after the application deadline and have it still count for the same semester ??

i really hope this doesn't ruin my chances i feel like im already a competitive applicant

I STRONGLY suggest that you call or e-mail the nursing dept. We were told if you miss it you have to re-apply next semester.

thanks for the advice, thank gawd i emailed "you know who" and she responded attending the next session will be ok. im guessing since everything is so new and changed around with the dates and deadlines theyre decided to be a little lenient with applications this time around or something. i dont know and i dont care, im just glad to still be in the running

Another random question for you, PDowling, since you're already in the program. I have a half sleeve tattoo...I'm sure there's a "no visible tattoos" clause in the rules...do you know if I'm going to be allowed to wear an undershirt in order to cover it?
