We went up to $0.38 earlier this summer. Do geographical regions make the difference, or should it be uniform across the board, or just how does that work, anyway???

But it is not mandated that agencies reimburse that amount. Maybe check into if you keep track of your mileage that you could claim the difference in reimbursement on income taxes ( if you aren't at that 50.5 cents ) ??? Might be worth a shot

Jan 21, 2008 dhyser96 is correct. you can deduct from your taxes difference between what your company pays for mileage and irs rate on your taxes as allowed to deduct wear and tear on personal vehicle used for work that is not reimbursed. must beep mileage log to prove this....consult tax adviser for official advice.see: revenue procedure 2007-70 contains additional information on these standard mileage rates.
