Hi Silverdragon102,
Thank you for the reply. So do you think I should contact the State Board of nursing first before I apply to CGFNS? My understanding of the process was 1) CGFNS 2) Board of Nursing 3) Complete deficit theory and clinical hours as identified by BON 4) Get deficit theory and Clinical hours done and verified by CGFNS 5) apply to BON again for ATT. I find the process difficult to comprehend. Any information would be greatly appreciated

Your process is correct. But only the state can decide once they evaluate your application
Thats great thank you very much Silverdragon102, I think I will submit both LPN and RN to the state at the same. Do I wait until CGFNS checks are complete and then submit application to BON?
Before you submit LPN application, Do you already have a visa allowing you to live and work in the US? Reason being is LPN will not meet requirements if you are the main applicant

Hi All,
I am hoping somebody can give me information. I am a mental health nurse trained and registered in Ireland. I have a four year BSc in Mental health nursing from what I understand to apply for NCLEX all nurses must have clinical and theory hours done in OBs, Med/surg, Paeds etc.
Is there any Irish or UK trained Mental health nurses who have been through this process would really appreciate any advice.
Perr :)
