Ipad for notetaking?

Published

My boyfriend just gave me an early Christmas present... iPad mini! I was wondering if anyone knows of any good apps for calendars, agendas, and note taking? I want to be as organized as possible come January when I start.

Thanks in advance! :)

Good day:

GoodNotes does handle annotations rather well. While Goodnotes can handle text, it doesn't have a "T" button to just double tap. You have to insert a text box; then type within the text. In that regard, Notability is better.

Thank you.

Hi everyone:

I just wanted to add that for the past several days, I've been using GoodNotes to annotate chapters I'm reading in preparation for January's classes. When you are in the zoom mode, you can use the stylus anywhere on the page to manuver around the page, change pages etc. without causing any mark ups. It makes annoting a breeze from highlighint varous colors to underlining.

If you get Goodnotes, it does have an autobackup feature which (at least for me) is slow; I would recommend turning it off during class time to have the iPad run faster, and then turn it on during down time... then just let it back up doing nothing else.

Thank you.

I have a suggestion r/t styluses - Buy one with the fiber mesh tip. They work MUCH better than the regular rubber-tip styluses! Check out Amazon.com.

Good day, Mrs. Combs:

Great suggestion... since I got my iPad I've tried various styli over the past several weeks, and wish I knew your tip ahead of time ;-) I found the amPen Hybrid (it runs $7.95) to be the best (at least for me, at least for now).

Thank you.
