Pharm the give you all the info on the computer...it's a long thing you have to read. You can take notes or print it off it you want (it's like 40 or 50 pgs I think though) Both are timed. I don't remember how much you get for them. The normal tests you get 1 min per question plus 15 mins...so 60 questions 75 mins ect. But math and pharm may have been different I don't remember.

eluska that is why I started the program. I want to work in Labor and Delivery...now if only I could find a job there :)

I don't like timed exams because then I am more nervous:)...But I think I can do this:)How about the regular tests in classes? I know they are all critical thinking tests...are they really that hard as most people say? I know critical thinking might get tricky, but I guess you have to know your info like that(snapping fingers right now)hehe...What is the percentage for passing the regular exams?

oguesswhat I would love to start there in labor and delivery right after graduating but it is going to be tough..i think you have to have experience but they can give you training in the hospital after graduating cause I know some people that got to that unit right away but they had to go through training(6 months)...This training is worth it though...after all that time you will be doing what you really wanted:)...I would like to be there right now, but still have to get through this tough nsg program:) Good luck!

Main tests you need 80% overall (If you go to low on one test you have to do better on the other test.) Labor and delivery is generally 12 weeks orientation give or take a few weeks depending on the hospital. No matter if you get hired in as soon as graduating or with 4 years experience in med surg you will still need the training cause you won't be able to read the fetal monitors without it.

Hi everyone, I got my letter Thursday , April 16...My orientation is May 7...is anyone else going?? I'm so excited I cant stand myself!! I just hope I can do it, I have 3 kids under 7...but I dont work, and I have alot of support......Its been a long time waiting for this, as you all know!! I already registered for the BLS class in May, Im just going to take it at HFCC, unless anyone knows of a different place??

tania I am still waiting for mine..they said they're going to send them on april 15th, so i am expecting mine sooner or later:) Where do you live? Thats probably why you got it so fast...I hope I will get mine, I started to worry when I read your msg...but I try to keep positive toughts...I live in warren btw:)
