Investing for Nurses?

What do you think about investing for nursing? I work at a hospital that currently has stock for $69 a share. I was wondering if anyone else invested in a healthcare business that could provide me with insight ? I am trying to learn as much as i can about investing.

I suggest reading about investing extensively before investing. I think that getting your finances under control is more important than investing (excluding your 401K/403B). Living below your means, eliminating your student loan and credit card debt should be your main focus. Dave Ramsey's 7 Baby Steps is an excellent start.
