I have my interview for the nursing program in a few days and I'm working on my intro letter. These are my instructions:
When you arrive for your interview, please bring a typewritten Letter of Introduction. This letter will be your opportunity to introduce yourself by sharing information you want the Committee to know about you.
I have already talked about the experience I have in health care as well as some of the things I've learned that would be beneficial as a nurse but I still have more space to take up. I don't want to talk about why I wan't to be a nurse because I will get asked that question.
What would you put in your letter?

Do you have any life experience to bring up? For example I traveled indpendently in countries where I was a minority and talked about how that helped make me more sensitive and blah blah blah, so I used to put that in my cover letter and actually got a job because of it (they told me that it stuck out to them because she grew up the child of missionaries).
Can you speak towards your work ethic? What would your supervisor say about you? What would your coworkers say about you?
Was there a time in your life that precipitated you knowing you wanted to be a nurse? Mine was when I was 12-years-old and was babysitting and my sister got gashed in the head with a hockey stick, I cleaned her up, cleaned up the blood in the house and called my mom at work telling her she'll probably need stitches and that she needed to come get her.
Good luck!
