Hi all,

I have an interview next week for a family practice position. I would love to land this job as I am tired of the insanity at the hospital and working weekends and off shifts.I am sure there is stress as a family practice but it would probably be a different kind of stress. I really want to impress so any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

What questions should I be asking, etc.

Thanks, Sista

I just took a job for a family medicine clinic without having ANY experience in that field whatsoever, so with your hospital experience, you're already a step ahead of me! I think what got me the job was my enthusiasm for the position. My previous job was very limited (medical-spa), so I explained to them that I would love to work in family medicine because of the age range and variety of people (and medical conditions!) could help expand my knowledge. As for questions to ask, I'd ask how a typical day is for a nurse; what's the toughest/most stressful part of a nurse's day; how easily accessible physicians are; etc. Have questions that show you're really interested if you really wanna land this job.
