Interviewing at Texas Wesleyan in Colton

Hello,

I am so excited to have my interview scheduled for Texas Wesleyan!!! It will be in Colton, at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Please let me know if you have any advice for me - would be very welcomed!

Also, I was reading on allnurses about a math assessment that is part of the interview, but I was not officially told about it by the University. Is this assessment part of the interview process?

Thank you so much travelerjen! I did not receive a letter yet, they notified me about my scheduled interview by e-mail. Do you know what type of math are they testing on? Is it medication calculation problems?

I will be watching my mailbox :)

I think that wesleyan sends two emails out. The first one is for you to accept the interview and the second has all the information that says the interview will last two to three hours. As far as what the math test is I can ask around there are a lot of wesleyan grads working at my hospital. .. if I find out I will let you know. ...

I am November 21 in Mobile. I heard it is like a miniature CCRN. I hope the math is just like basic nursing stuff you do on a daily basis. YEEK, any info would be super helpful. Good luck to all !!:yes:

Hey Alana,

First off, congrats on your interview. Secondly, they no longer administer the math test, so no worries. I interviewed with TWU in November (and was accepted on the spot;) ) I actually asked the board when I arrived what the math test was going to include and they said "Oh yeah, we don't do that anymore, we need to take that off the website" haha. Good luck on your interview. Study your CCRN stuff and know the meds you use most often like the back of your hand!
