I was very impressed with what the interviewer had to tell me about the agency, but she said that they're getting ready to revamp the system from individual case loads to a team approach with the RNs being case managers and having an LVN and CNA on each team. They will be implementing that in the next couple of months and she is looking for nurses to hire but can't hire them until the new system is in place. I told her I'm very interested but that I can't wait that long. I did tell her to call me when she was ready, and that if I'm not happy where I am, I'll jump ship and come to her.
This afternoon my recruiter called me. The interviewer was so impressed she got permission from her superior to hire me now if I pass the background check, that she wants me to help get the new system started!
I interview with another agency tomorrow; the one I decide to go with will depend on what each has to offer. The recruiter told me to call her with tomorrow's offer and she will try and get me a better package with the first agency.
Taz-sorry I missed this thread earlier. Congratulations on pulling out all the stops at your interview! Good luck, and I hope that you will be able to get most (if not all;) ) of what you want and need in benefits, and professionally. A good 'old' ER nurse should be able to do that job with one hand tied behind her back!
