Interview Questions

Hello everyone,

I really need some information from you experience nurses.

I will be going for an interview in one of the hospitals and I dont know what questions to expect as this is the first time for me.

Please advice me.

The letter received stated that I will be interview for a competency level one, proficent level 2 and expert level three because this is my first time in the hospital as well to determine the slary scale.

Please please I really need your expert advice.

Thank you in Advance

Hi Zaria-

I would call up that unit and ask them to define what those terms are (competency level one, proficient level two etc) or give examples of what would qualify for each.I bet they have a handout that lists these things so you can get an idea of what they are looking for ahead of time. I'm not familiar with that terminology specifically. It sounds like categorical jargon;I believe they are trying to determine a certain level of function/job skills.

I can tell you that on my first job interview (new grad for med/surg unit) they asked me several questions that were case study types to determine what my critical thinking skills/responses were. I also got the usual job questions like, "Why do you want to work here" and "Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses." Good luck! :balloons:
