Hi I have applied for a job as an epilepsy nurse and have to do a 10 min PowerPoint on what I feel are my 3 main challenges for the role. I'm looking to think outside the box but am not sure if I'm on the right box.
Challenges
Steep learning curve specific to the role
Change in role - it's a non clinical role
And then I'm not sure about the last on
Communication - parents dealing with complex health needs of their children at home, safeguarding
Any suggestions happily received

I am big on case management and discharge planning. That could go in a number of directions based on client need. Additonally, patient education, medication compliance and management.
Also the psych end of things--having seizures is a huge life altering situation for many. So there is a great deal that we all take for granted that someone who has epilepsy can not. So highest functional level with greatest independence would be put into place.
So the 3 things I think might be interesting are:
1. Managing complex cases to discharge with accuracy.
2. Medication education, compliance assurance
3. Psych considerations r/t alteration in health managment
Love "case studies" and specific examples using the outpatient and community resources that are available.
Best of luck!
Thanks I think I can work with a bit of that with some of the things that I've considered already

Nothing from me about content...however, I'll give you suggestions for your Power Point:
Yes, it's the content and not the style that will ultimately get you the job. But a poor-quality Power Point won't do you any favors, especially if they're on the fence about you.
Good luck with your presentation!
Thanx
