Hey out there--
I have an interview with UNC-Greensboro for the Winston-Salem clinical site. Does anyone know anything about their interviewing technique?
Also --the school interviews on 5 seperate dates, the first 3 weeks of Nov, and then the first 2 weeks of Dec. Which do you think is the better date. I'm thinking in December, as I will be more fresh is the selecting committee's mind. Any thoughts?

Don't know much about the interview process but keep the board updated on your experience as this is one of the schools I will be applying to.
Good Luck

I have many friends who interviewed there, and said it was very intimidating. If I remember correctly, over 15 people on the committee at a huge table with just you. Hopefully someone with some first hand experience can lend some more info.

A friend of mine interviewed there last year. She said there were very few clinical questions if any, and that it was a get to know you kind of interview. I think they asked her what the last book she read was.... I do know that she was called a few days later and offered a spot, so that would argue for going early in the process. I took that approach with my interview, and I did receive a call the very next day.

Not necessarily. At each interview, the very strong candidates (ususally top 2or 3) get a call a few days later and are offered a position. The rest are ranked and offered postitions after the last Dec. interview. So for the early offers, it doesn't matter when you interview.

I interviewed there a couple of years ago and while I decided on another school. I really was impressed by them. I went at an early date and was accepted a couple of days later. While the panel size was large, they all were friendly and once they established I was a well prepared candidate, it was more of a get to know you session. The hospital seems great, school has a good reputation and the housing costs/col is low. I didn't go there mostly because my wife would have been all alone in this fairly small conservative town with no support system or even a vegetarian resturaunt. (she's a veggie)I have 2 friends that graduated from there and they spoke highly of the program. Try and relax about these interviews, they are fun if you let them be.
