International Travel Nursing for US Nurses

Does anybody know of any agencies that offer travel positions for US RNs outside of the US.

Thanks

Can you be much more specific as to where you are interested in?

Europe does not have travel like we have. Even in Canada, there are not the same type of assignments that we have here. All, except for the US Virgin Islands require immigration processing. There are agencies that staff the Middle East but they are not short term travel, usually two year contracts. Then there are the Caribbean Islands, a few have short-term contracts, and Australia and New Zealand.

Yes.

Basically I would consider any English-speaking country. Australia/NZ sound great. I've also heard that it is possible to go to Dubai. UK would be considered, but not at the top of my list. I am open to suggestions. If you know the names of any agencies that deal with this, please send me the names. Thanks :-)

UK can be counted out of the list, they are having lay-offs right now and if you were not a citizen of the EU, it will be almost impossible to get a license there, let alone a visa to work there.

For NZ and Australia, check out their forum here, there are postings about several agencies that do travel assignments there, but be aware that it will not be an assignment like we have in the US, and minimum that you will see is six months, or even longer because of immigration things and expenses.

For the Middle East, just do a search on this forum, and you will find multiple threads on agencies that handle assignments there, and those will be for two years most of the time, rarely you can find a one year contract. But nothing less.
