Hiya,

I'm fairly new here, and have kept quiet because I didn't feel I really had a position to comment....BUT! Today I was interviewed for the Diploma (adult) course, AND I started my job as a health care asst. this week on a 30+bed stroke ward.

The job is brill - great people, lots of help getting on my feet and something new every hour. I'm definitely in the right field, and, as I'm pushing 40 and have been floundering for the last 5 years or so, that is a big relief!

So, letters Yea or nay will arrive in Saturday's post.

wish me luck!:p

Good luck, and congratulations on getting a job on a stroke ward!!

I am a student nurse, and loved my placement on a stroke rehab ward, and recently I worked on the acute stroke ward as a bank Auxillary.( I would love it if they had a p/t Auxillary post open)

I love working with stroke patients!! I am hoping I have found my niche, although I loved my other DME placements, and I enjoyed my surgical placement for the most part although I think I like medical better, and I am really enjoying my community placement.

Anyhow, enough of my babble, Good luck, and tell us how it goes on Saturday.
