I just returned from visiting with a friend who is recovering from Guillian Barre. She contracted the disease while visiting Britain.
As a yankee who has never visited Britain I know little about English nursing. My friend had only good things to say about her experiences. She stated that her care included everything from detailed anatomic assessments to being read to while she was paralyzed. She also stated that the nurses provided consistent mouth care. (I do not always see this
being performed in the states.) She was pleased with the over all nursing care.
Sounds like ya'll are doing a great job. Maybe ya'll can inspire some nurses here in the states. Kudos!

Thank you. Nurses don't get enough positive feedback when we do a good job. Hope your friend is feeling better soon. I work in neurology and know it can be a nasty illness.
