How did you like Hurst? Did you do the online review for $300 ? I still didn't sign up for it because it's a lot of money and when i got my letter back i was near passing score in all the topics but infection control. So i don't know if i should just keep doing questions or do the program.
I took the online review.Hurst offers a lot of basic content. I don't know if u already know your content and need only a strategy.I needed content so I took it;their video lectures are very entertaining and easy to understand. They also offer q-banks 6 of them each with 125 questions(not as hard as kaplan q-banks) to brush up what you've learned. Personally, I liked it, If I knew before of Hurst I would have taken it instead of Kaplan. As an international nurse I think that we need to study the content before strategy to answer the question. If u dont want to spend money with Hurst you can study Saunders book, its a little to much but its rich with material. Once again, its relative, I don't know what you are lacking, If u need more review or just a good strategy?
Bitte schon!
I'm thinking in July. I've been preparing for 2 months now,my scores have improved, but I don't know if I'm ready yet. Hurst took me one month. You just listen to their videos and for each chapter go back to Saunders to reinforce the material. That's what I did. Now I'm going again over Kaplan q-banks and when I finish them I'll go try again. You said u graduated in 2003?Why so late taking the Nclex?
I am an international nurse too. Taking my exam tomorrow second time. I gave first time in 2012. I used Kaplan then, and now too but the difference is I also reviewed Saunders this time and practiced all of the Kaplan Q bank questions. But yeah I agree Lela89 that ofcourse you need to know content in a far better way comparing to our country's curriculum. Thats what I figured out from my last mistake. Lets hope for best for all of us (international nurses)........:)
Hi Lela89, you speak German? lol
I graduated Nursing school in Germany 2003 and worked there for 5 years and we moved to the States in 2009.
It took me a while to do TOEFL and CGFNS. I took my time I guess. So, I just signed up for HURST:yes:
I watched the Introduction video and it looks like it is very entertaining. I hope it helps and I will pass next time!!!
When did you graduate?
In which state do you take the test?
Sounds like you are almost ready to try again. best of luck to you!
