Anyone here an international nurse who is also a live in caregiver seeking certification here in Canada or B.C?
Im an international nurse from the Philippines who is under the live in caregiver program. I am now seeking certification here in B.C. I hope we can share insights. you can email me at [email protected]
Thanks
Live in caregivers in Canada can get certified while they are still under the program and waiting to complete the 24 months requirement. They can process their application to CRNBC or from other provinces of Canada

As long as you meet requirements you can apply from within or outside Canada. The issue may come when finding employer so you can change work permit if you haven't already got PR
yeah, I heard that it is very hard to get an employer nowadays in B.C. I friend of mine even volunteered just to complete the 250 hours requirement to be able to get the full RN registration. She had no permanent or part time position until now, and to think she came to Canada last 2008.
Is there anyone here who can give their opinion regarding the LPN registration? Is it advisable to pass an application to both CRNBC and CLPNBC? I heard that if you passed an initial application to CRNBC for assessment, you can write them a letter to forward a copy of your documents to CLPNBC
