International Graduates that are successful in applying and taking the NCLEX.

Published

Hello everyone!

I wanted to hear the stories of international grads who had the success of getting their ATT from different states.

We know that some states are not as open as other states with international graduates. Mostly due to lack of hours, theories and cases issues.

NRSKarenRN posted: These are states having concerns over concurrent therory and practicum, so I would look at other 37 states to obtain license:

Alabama

Arizona

California

Georgia

Illinois

Kansas

Louisiana

Maryland

North Dakota

Oklahoma

Vermont

Virginia

Washington

If there are international graduates who have had the success in acquiring an ATT and taking the exam please share your story. I believe that a majority of us need a shed of light and regain some hope.

But does Hawaii license be endorsed to mainland?

Is that for real? So, you have plans in going to other state once you have your license?

Yes tht is my plan, to endorse but if it doesn't work out i might be moving to hawaii. I don't know i ou can have one more application in cgfns you might wanna call them and ask

You have plans in staying in Hawaii or once you have the license you'll apply for reciprocity or endorsement? And is it alright to have more than one application in CGFNS for different states?
Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Be aware for NY BON you still have to go through CVS even if you have a license in another state. CVS takes on average 6 months as this is the time-frame CGFNS gives the various organisations to complete and return paperwork

Thank you so much, Diel08! All the best.

Thanks silverdragon102 we will keep that in mind. So is it better for us to look at other states that require ces?

As mentioned before ideally should apply to state you plan on living in. I know CA has some issues and many looking outside the state but this must be a state you are prepared to move to as it gets expensive applying to different states

Yup I'm aware about Ca because i applied there first since I am from cali and sadly like all foreign graduates, I became inelgible. Well yeah i am willing to move to hawaii anyways. Thanks for the info silverdragon102

Diel08, did you take your local board exam? or you immediately went to Cali?

No I did not take the local board exam. I came back to Cali right after my graduation.
