Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and hopefully I'm posting this in the right area. I'm currently an LVN in Ca and looking into a 1 year LVN-RN on-line program based out of Fl. The name of the school is called International College of Health Sciences based out of Boyton Beach, Fl. I was just wondering if anyone here has had some experiences in dealing with this school, currently attending, or could provide any insight into the program. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
I just did NCLEX questions and bought a an ATI Nursing Fundamentals book online from Thriftbooks.com because it was cheaper. Just "study" the fundamentals and you should be fine. Some select all that apply. Mostly A, B, C, or D. Mainly priority questions. They said this is all of the stuff you should already know. I do agree with that although the test was hard to me! I am a nervous test taker so maybe that is why? I passed both fund/pharm though. For the math just refresh on d/h.
Hi everyone! I finally finished my prerequisites on Straighterline. I will start ICHS school this fall. Just wandering current students can you please tell me what book( author) you use for Pharmacology? I have time to read it before starting the program, and I know this class is hard, want to prepare a little.
Thank you!

Their NCLEX pass rates are comparable to national averages. ICHS accepts credits from other schools, CLEP, DANTES, etc. General education and nursing theory coursework may be completed remotely. Clinical training is done in Florida and may be scheduled throughout the course or as a block at the end of the program. Several nurses have transitioned from LVN/LPN to RN through this route and successfully endorsed their licenses to California.
Can I take my boards in NY if I choose? I kno a lot of ppl that go to school in a state but take their boards somewhere else..

Do you have your old books that I can buy or how does it work in terms of lectures? I'm looking into starting in June 2019. Any heads up will be highly anticipated. You can email me at [email protected]

Thank you for responding. Just want to know what exam they are currently using if is HESI or ATI and how my try you have for the exit and do student get set back if don't pass HESI in other words are the grades accumulated? Also For clinical where do they normally go for clinical. I would love to hear from current students because there is so much rumors out there. I currently live in Palm Beach Gardens

I can't tell you much, I am on my second semester med surg 1. But I know that school uses HESI Exit exam. If I remember correctly they give 2 attempts for it.
Normally I went for my fundamentals and mental health clinical to rehab centers, long term facilities, nursing homes. As well I know that for capstone they go to hospital some where in Miami.

Hello,
I am currently enrolled for the LVN to RN program with ICHS for October 2022. I have not yet taken the advanced placement exam which is required before starting the program. Can anyone please give me some information on the type of exam it is. What I should expect? What topics I should be focusing on? Any information will help. Thank you!
