Hi guys, I am a LVN in CA and I will be starting ICHS in Feb 2020. Anyone has done the GAP exam? What exactly are they going to be testing us at? Kinda excited and nervous at the same time to go back to school, but not knowing anyone and traveling alone kinda scares me a bit. Can anyone share their experience or thoughts?

So, with the attachment I uploaded is an example of a pilot program that’s in the process of possibly getting approved?

Besides the clinicals how are you like the program? I’ve heard bad and good about it and just want someone’s opinion about how it’s going who taking the classes right now. Any information you can provide it much appreciated. 

The attachment you uploaded is the program ideally to replace the on floor clinical program during the pandemic however the school pause it without letting us know what happen and the school response is pending since early September. I started with ICHS in August and I heard many people saying different opinion about the school. All I can say is ICHS just like any other pirvate school, you need to be on top of everything in order to keep up with all the changes, sometime could be frustrating but as long as you keep dig in, usually you will be able to find what you need. The class situation is different from everyone, because not all the student have the same class schedule, ICHS use to let student take multiple class at the same time including the pre-req classes for the nursing program which is really rare, as long as you know what class you should take, just keep verifiy with the school rep and make sure they're on the same page with you. I am happy with ICHS so far and I did encounter any terrible problem that people complaint.

Hi, thank you for your input! I had a quick question..I know you stated the GAP exam you took were all ATI questions. Did you review PN Fundamentals&Pharm ATI book? When I last spoke to the advisor, she called it an advanced placement test. I also asked her is it through ATI, and she said no, it's through HESI.

Yes that is the correct email. I tried to check my spam but haven't seen anything

When I took my GAP exam it was from ATI and I used the ATI fundamental  book to study but I heard from other student the school recently changed the testing platform and I don't know what did they use now.

Hi, has anyone attempted the GAP test that they started this month in November? I believe it's HESI, but I was wondering if it will be like a general entrance exam with all the subjects or would it be focused on Pharmacology and Fundamentals of Nursing.

Hi Kallee, thanks for letting me know, so previous GAP were on ATI FON & Pharm and it does make sense to have those tests since those are the subjects we're testing out of. 

 

But now the GAP is based on the HESI, do you think it will still be on the same subjects or like a TEAS test type exam where it tests you on all subjects.

 

Could you email me at [email protected] after you take your exam or post here what type it is? I would most awesomely appreciate it. Good luck on the test and with the RN Program!

Did anyone else have trouble getting started with the GAP exam? I just tried for over an hour and the proctorUs code wasn’t working.... So I didn’t get to take it & no one has replied yet regarding the missed exam...
